A terrifying vision of deepest nightmare, Cerberus serves Hades as guardian, hound and favored pet. Garbed in the bones and sinew of a
thousand slaughtered beasts, Cerberus' massive head is composed of the upper jaws of three great hounds, all of which share a single
lower jaw. Compact and muscular of build, massive of stature and vicious of temperment, the mere sight of the hound of Hades is
often enough to set gods and men alike trembling, and the sound of his howl has caused even the bravest of warriors to flee the
battlefield in terror.
As terrible an apparition as Cerberus might be to the foes of Hades, beneath his armor he is actually an extremely well-groomed
and highly-trained animal. Under all of the bone, sinew and gore, Cerberus looks remarkably like a rottweiler of elephantine
proportions. His coat is full and lustrous, and great bunches of tightly-packed muscle can be seen to ripple under his skin when
he moves. He is fiercely loyal to his master, who he loves and obeys unquestioningly. The bond between Hades and Cerberus is a
strong one, and either would risk his life for the other without hesitation.
Cerberus is absolutely devastating on the battlefield, attacking opponents with a bite that can crack steel plates and rend
flesh from bones. His canine instincts combined with masterful training and centuries of experience have molded him into a
destructive force unrivaled in the Underworld. To take on Cerberus is to challenge the fury of Hell itself.
